    • Click on +"Video Library" in blue bar at top of page.
    • Select "Two's Company Part 1."
    • Select the first set of words.

    • Thriver (similar to 25,000 Pyramid)
      • Place one chair close to board so that student's back is to board.
      • Write vocabulary words on board so that all but the student sitting in chair sees the words.
      • Set a timer for one (1) minute.
      • The rest of the class provides clues (examples, words that mean the same, definition) without saying the words or parts of the word, until the student in chair says the correct word.
      • Keep score to see who can get the most words in one minute.
  • Engage students in a fun learning activity, having them:

    • Write and act out a skit of their own that portrays the meaning of a word.
    • Work in small groups to draw a picture/sketch to illustrate meaning of word(s).
    • Write a story using all five (5) words and share with class.
    • Sketch a picture to illustrate a word then exchange with a partner to see if he/she can guess the word the sketch illustrates.
  • Talk with students about words:

    • Talk about examples, non-examples, synonyms, and antonyms, create sentences using words in context.
      • For example, ask kids examples of people or situations that apply to the word meticulous:
        • Mr. Sparks creating a three-prong device to perfectly align papers as he grades them
        • Monk--the obsessive compulsive detective
        • Mrs. Huff--Her moldy coffee cups are a picture of the opposite of meticulous.
    • Display, read aloud, and discuss a few sentences (linked to words above) from the New York Times that uses the word in context.
