Do you consider it important for your friends and family members to be responsible? Why?
Class Format: Journalizing, Whole-group discussion

Time Allotment: One 15-Minute Session

Today's Activities:
  • 1 minute
    • Define Responsibility (and write or display definition on the board). Definition: To consider oneself answerable for something.
  • 5 minutes
    • Discuss the Essential Question: Do you consider it important for your friends and family members to be responsible? Why?
  • 5 minutes
  • Remaining Session
    • Whole Group Discussion: Discuss the benefits of being a responsible person at home, school, work, etc.
  • Homework: Demonstrate that you consider yourself to be accountable for your actions and that you follow through on your actions.
