Organizational Skills: Lesson 29

Today's Objective: To encourage students to develop a Learning Center that will assist them in meeting their goals.

Class Format: Group

Time Allotment: Class Period (15 minutes)

Lesson: Go over the following organization tips;
  • Create a learning center at home by setting aside a designated workspace which includes as many of the following as possible:
    • Note Paper
    • Sticky Pads
    • Note Cards
    • Writing Utensils (Pens, Pencils, Highlighters)
    • Dictionary
    • Calendar
    • Container for Files: File Cabinet, Desk Drawer, File Box, Cardboard Box, etc.
    • Wastepaper Basket
    • Educational Goals Posted
    • World Map or Globe
    • Proper Lighting
    • Bookcase
    • Computer
  • Other suggestions from students
  • Schedule a Daily Study Time
