Today's Objective: Students will establish two goals for the current school year, one of which should be an academic goal.

Class Format: Class Discussion

Time Allotment: Class Period (15 minutes)

Lesson:
  • 5 minutes to discuss the do's of goal setting
  • Do's of Goal Setting (The Three R's of Effective Goals)
    • Do Set a goal that is Reachable
    • Do Set a goal that is Rewardable
    • Do Set a goal that is Remembered
  • 10 minutes for students to set and record two goals, one of which must be an academic goal
